Usability Testing
Usability is as important, perhaps more so, than other aspects of web design, for if people cannot navigate and find what they are looking for on your website, they wont be able to buy products from you. An unhappy user experience could be detrimental for your business.
We offer usability testing, which involves taping through screen capture and sound or video, people navigating your website and performing certain tasks. This can highlight to you any issues users are having with your site. Detailed reports can be written explaining issues with suggestions for improvement and it can be revealing for a business to watch just how their sites are actually being used.
The test is usually performed using 3-5 people with varying degrees of internet experience and a report detailing issues noted. The report will also contain recommendations for improvements based on current internet standards and usability guidelines.
Accessibility
Disabled users of the internet need special care taken when coding websites along with visual aspects like colours used in the design. It is becoming a legal requirement, in some areas, to ensure websites are accessible but it also ethical to increase the quality of user experience.z
We can design accessible websites to the varying priority levels, however due to some applications used online it will not alway be possible to achieve a triple 3 rating. A site would need to be viewed first to ascertain price and amount of time needed to gain the desired priority level.
